1. PULSAR: The Programmable Ultra Lightweight System Adaptable Radio (PULSAR) is a newly developed Software Defined Radio (SDR) for use on satellites, launch vehicles, scientific balloon payloads, and other flight applications. The PULSAR features compact, rugged construction with exceptional performance. This SDR is FULL DUPLEX, and capable of 75Mbps per channel on two channels in the X-band downlink. It has flexible forward error correction using LDPC rate 7/8, 1/2 Convolution, or Reed-Solomon encoding, and uses either BPSK or QPSK modulation. Doppler shift ranging is built in. Transmit power of 1W on S-band and X-band.

S-band receiver on board, capable of 300 kbps. Greater power available on request. The PULSAR is a modular unit that can be custom configured for your application, any of the three decks (S-band receiver, X-band transmitter, and S-band transmitter) can be used alone. PULSAR is built under license from NASA, who have developed and flight tested the unit to 120,000 ft altitude on a scientific balloon experiment. 2. Morpheus Telemetry Module: Based on the NASA TLM-X100 currently on orbit in the FASTSAT-HSV1 satellite, this module performs Reed-Solomon
(255,223) encoding and uplink bit synchronization using an Actel FPGA.
This unit is all you need to make your satellite or other flight vehicle telemetry CCSDS and Near Earth Network compatible. Accepts data from your flight computer over RS422, and operates at up to 1Mbps downlink, and 50kbps uplink, full duplex. Connect to your favorite radio to complete system.
